Caratra is situated in the scenic country village of Culdaff in the heart of rural Donegal but also only a stones throw away from a beautiful Blue Flag beach. Originally built in the nineteenth century, Caratra Bar and Guesthouse has recently been fully refurbished to offer an exceptional standard of service to our customers. Our main bar and most of our bedrooms offer sea views set amidst glorious rolling countryside and you can be sure of a cosy seat next to our roaring log fire, just the ticket on a brisk winters evening. |

When we say a stones throw away from the beach, we mean it, literally! Culdaff beach is a mile long glorious expanse of sand backed by sand dunes, well known as a great place to surf. In addition to this there is a childrens playground and, with all the beauty of Inishowen on your doorstep there is never a shortage of things to see and do. Malin Head, Ireland's most northerly point, is only 12 miles away and the old market town of Carndonagh only 5 miles. |
